Test 5.5 Simple IP Inter-PDSN Idle Hand-off

This test verifies the mobile station can be successfully transitioned from the dormant state to the active state in order for an Inter-PDSN idle handoff to occur. The result of the handoff to a new PDSN is a complete restart of PPP. PDSN 1 is associated with PCF 1 and PDSN 2 is associated with PCF 2. This test is only applicable to handheld devices. Devices that are connected to a computer allow the computer to handle the PPP in the Simple IP mode. The computer does not necessarly follow these rules.
