A800 Software

A-800 Software Conformance scripts are provided to complete Stage 2 testing for (CDG-22) and (CDG-57) using the adapter. These scripts include CDMA to AMPS channel assignment, CDMA to AMPS hand-off, Global Service Redirection and Network Directed System Selection. More Information

The A-800 is controlled from the C-AIME/1X-AIME script. The Racal GPIB script object is used to communicate with the AMPS transceivers and a set of script library functions are provided to set up the Control Channel (CC) and the Voice Channel (VC). AMPS message construction is handled using in-line message construction and function calls similar to what is used in the existing CDMA example scripts. This construction provides an environment that "looks and feels" similar to the existing environment.

In addition to CDMA/AMPS testing, the A-800 can be used to test the analog functions specified in IS-2000-6. In particular, there are analog functions specified in IS-2000-6 that are not included in IS-553-A and are not generally supported by other analog test sets. Scripts may be written to perform these tests.

SCI can also supply custom test suites if needed, or customers may generate their own scripts. Scripts to test proprietary system selection schemes or to perform E911 testing are examples of other scripts that might be desired.

Test system power level control is only adjustable in 4dB increments over a small range (20dB) and absolute measurements of mobile station power levels are not possible on this system. It is primarily designed to test protocol and functionality.
