A-800 AMPS Test Adapter
The A-800 AMPS Test Adapter (supporting Racal Instruments' C-AIME and 1X-AIME) is the solution to testing the AMPS portion of your IS-95 (CDG-22) or IS-2000 (CDG-57) CDMA phone. This adapter allows testing of CDMA to AMPS hand-off, system selection and other AMPS features in IS-2000 that go beyond TIA-553-A. And best of all, it's integrated with Racal Instruments' C-AIME and 1X-AIME test systems, allowing seamless Stage 2 testing of your phone.
The A-800 adapter is easy to install. Simply connect it to the GPIB interface and the RF combiner of your existing C-AIME or 1X-AIME system, install the software driver package and you're ready to go. A suite of AMPS specific CDG Stage 2 scripts provides the additional conformance tests needed to achieve full Stage 2 test coverage.
The Problem Our Test Adapter Helps Solve
Racal Instruments C-AIME and 1X-AIME systems currently provide excellent test capability for CDMA mobile stations. The systems have complete CDMA test capability, but lack any analog (AMPS) capability. This missing capability eliminates the possibility of constructing CDG Stage 2 interoperability tests that require AMPS functionality. The A-800 provides an integrated solution for complete Stage 2 testing.
